Privacy note
What we collect and why.
Guide signups
When you request a free guide, we collect your email address, the guide slug, signup source, consent version, optional product-update consent, and timestamps. We use this to unlock the guide, record the signup, prevent abuse, and understand which guides people want.
If you check the optional updates box, we may use your email for occasional What Bin Is This product updates and practical disposal notes. If you do not check it, the signup is used for guide access and recordkeeping only.
Lookup and waitlist forms
Existing lookup and beta waitlist forms may collect the information you choose to submit, such as an email address, item query, ZIP code, or selected interest. The app uses this information to operate the product, improve guidance, and understand demand for future features.
Storage and retention
Signup data is stored in the project's configured Supabase database. This repository does not define a fixed retention period. The site owner should remove data when it is no longer needed or when deletion is requested and legally appropriate.
Analytics
The site uses lightweight analytics to understand page views, guide-funnel progress, downloads, and product usage. Guide funnel analytics do not include email addresses, subscriber IDs, IP addresses, or full form payloads.
Requests
To ask about your data or request deletion, email whatbinisthis@promptaralab.com.
This is a practical product privacy note, not legal advice. It should be reviewed before public launch.
